Grace Meets The Bears

Grace was only allowed to have three visitors at a time while she was in the NICU, and one of those three had to be one of her parents.  Since it was the cold and flu season while Grace was in the hospital, only parents and Grandparents were allowed to visit her.  This left the rest of our family and friends unable to see Grace in person during her first days.

On Grace's last night in the hospital, Lizzie and I were able to keep her in our room.  Since she was out of the NICU, Grace could have as many visitors as she wanted, and she really wanted to meet her Aunt Meredith and Uncle Cam.  Meredith is Lizzie's sister and Cam is Meredith's husband, we call them "The Bears" (Lizzie and I are "The Bunnies").

It was very very hard having to make Meredith and Cam wait for four days to hold their niece for the first time.  They are both so very important to us and have been so helpful and excited since we found out Lizzie was pregnant.  We begged the nurses in the NICU if they could make an allowance and the Meredith and Cam in, but they said no.  Lizzie and I were even thinking of telling the nurses that Meredith was my very young step-mother, but we didn't want to rock the boat.

It worked out in the end, The Bears met their neice on her last night in the hospital, and here are the pictures from that night-
