My name is Corey Richard Granstrand, Daddy to Grace Catherine Granstrand. Grace's Mommy, and my wonderful wife, is Elizabeth (Lizzie) Strutton Granstrand. Lizzie and I have been married for close to five years, and we have been together since we meet in 2004. I never thought I'd be able to love anyone as much I love Lizzie, but then I met our Grace.
Grace was born on Febuary 15th, 2012 at 8:10 in the evening. She was five weeks early, and weighed 4 pounds 11 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches long. She is the most beautiful little thing we have ever laid eyes on.
There is no way I can describe how seeing my daughter for the first time made me feel, I think anyone who is a parent knows what I mean. Many of my friends who have had children have told me what an incredible, and life changing, experience seeing your baby for the first time is, but their words did not ready me at all. When I saw Grace for the first time, it was like I could actually feel my life begin with hers- I think my heart actually stopped until I heard her cry out, and then our life's began together (kind of corny, but that's the best way I can describe it). It's really the most incredible experience this world has to offer. Now I completely understand why parents always talk about their kids, your child is truly the most incredible thing in the world.
So, the main reason we're doing this blog is to post our many, many, many pictures and videos of Grace. My family lives quite far away, and I thought this would be the easiest way to keep all of them updated (along with Facebook, of course). Also, it will be a great way to track the growth of our little biscuit! I probably won't be so wordy in the future, but we will see!
And now to start this off, here's one of the first pictures of our lovely daughter, Grace Catherine Granstrand.
